Ode To The Absent Father
Go on look to the stars for the answer
Your image I’ve painted with love – you’re a Dancer
I’ll take you with me when it’s over
I’m the Father that still lets you be
You’re my Daughter
you’ve seen it too
Every Friday 5:30 pm
Go on look to the stars for the answer
Your image I’ve painted with love – you’re a Dancer
I’ll take you with me when it’s over
I’m the Father that still lets you be
You’re my Daughter
When I was older
I was a sailor on an open sea
But now I’m underwater
And my skin is paler than it should ever be
So I can cry for my age, my life and my face
And I will wash off all the dirty, dirty thoughts I had about you
